Behind the Scenes

This verson is more or less a rough cut, truly an experiment in style. In the future look for a revised verson of this.

Believe it or not 95% of this was only lit with a Maglite flashlight. The remainder of the short was lit with the flashlight and a 15W household bulb. The low lighting and graininess was all part of the original concept. Tests were shot to see if the desired look could be achieved. The grain was created by adding gain and then a ND filter to get the correct exposure.

The idea behind the sound design was to farther the ambiguity of the piece. We don't know who these two people are or if they are good or bad. The picture is very disjointed, and therefore we felt that the sound should be stylized along with the video.
