Behind the Scenes

The idea behind the sound design was to further the ambiguity of the piece. We don't know who these two people are or if they are good or bad. The picture is very disjointed, and therefore we felt that the sound should be stylized along with the video.

The effects on the voice were done in Adobe Audition. First sections were slowed down, and secondly they were pitched down. Audio ramping was used to make it sound as if a record player was slowing down.

Sound FXs were added in the beginning to give the room more character. The drone intensifies as the action does, finally giving way to a menacing chord signifying a climax. As the action ends, the sound goes back to the dripping of the water that we hear first.
